Summer
Ball 2006
This year's event was held on June 30 at Highgate House, Creaton
(on the A5199 northwest of Northampton). A comment from one of the
guests: "Oh what a night! The magnificent surroundings of Highgate
House provided a perfect location for an evening of grand style.
The weather was absolutely
perfect, food delicious and company even better! All in all a superbly
organised and very enjoyable evening - look forward to next year
too".
We were delighted to be joined by over 150 guests at the ball and
in particular to welcome both Sir Nigel and Lady Thompson - as Chairman
of CPRE National Office he was the guest speaker and addressed the
audience very well.
It was also a great pleasure to welcome Lady Juliet Townsend and
John Townsend. Lady Juliet, the President of CPRE Northamptonshire,
was presented with a medal from Sir Nigel Thompson to thank her
for all her excellent support over so many years in this county.
