Waymarker Waymarker Northamptonshire, a site for "everyone who enjoys the peace and beauty of the countryside and green spaces"

village websites

Does your village have its own website? We mean a real village website, with content produced by the people who live there, rather than a commercial directory listing. A 21st century equivalent of the parish pump, or the notice board outside the village hall.

The good ones are often one-man- or one-woman bands, but when a community gives its support it is amazing what can be achieved. It’s not about computer literacy; it’s about community participation! Local content is much more important than flashy design.

If your village has its own site, please ask your Webmaster to . We want to hear from the village Webmasters of Northamptonshire, who are prepared to work with us to encourage communication on rural issues, so improving the quality of village life.

Take a look at the websites set up for these Northamptonshire villages – which one do you think is the best? which one, and why!
